    Team,

Each time, I feel like I'm getting a little better at this.  I know it's only just over two weeks away, but that's way better than last time, right?

    Baby steps, Bob.

The Orange County Chapter Meeting will be Friday, September 9th at 1:00pm.  We are scheduled until 4:00pm, but I don't think I've ever seen one go that late.  No promises, though...time flies when you're having fun.

We will have a 30 (ish) minute presentation from Rich and Kayla at Thomson Reuters showing off some cool tech:

Supercharge Dynamics CRM with No Data Entry – Business Development Premier Data Engine Uncovers Connections
Business Development Premier Data Engine supercharges your Dynamics CRM database by automatically searching your business’ extended relationship network and populating your database—all without manual data entry. The data is enhanced by layering “who knows whom” insights on top of Thomson Reuters proprietary information, which shows financial data, officers and directors, and competitors for millions of companies worldwide. It’s insight that helps you win more work.

The rest of the agenda will be something like this:

    • Welcome & Introductions
    • Chapter Business, CRMUG News & Events
    • Educational Session
    • Member Showcase
    • Networking/Roundtable Discussions
    • Last minute Summit Propaganda

And here are some additional topics we are considering:

    • CRM Certification - Borrowed this from another chapter, but are there certifications you've been considering with regards to Dynamics CRM?  What is required?
    • Power BI Reports for CRM - I've started exploring Power BI and finding it to be a great way to present meaningful insights.  There are a couple of pre-packaged CRM Reports which install easily.  Anyone interested in those?
    • Preview Features - I was watching a webinar on Task Flows for Mobile and had no idea previews were even available.  My favorite so far is the Organizational Insights, but I thought it might be good to walk through some of these.
    • Marketing Aspects within CRM - A couple of users have expressed interest exploring the Marketing functionality built into CRM.
    • Social Engagement - Upcoming issue of CRMUG Magazine will focus on Social Marketing & Service.  I've been messing around with Social Engagement and can walk through some of that.  Is anyone else using that?  Interested?

Finally, if you are going to the MTC event today, Maximize Sales Effectiveness--CRM Deployment, please look for me and say hi.  Would love to meet other local users.

The Chapter Meeting will be at the Microsoft Office (Suite 1600) in Irvine, I believe onsite parking is $12, but that covers you for the whole meeting and there will be yummy snacks for you to enjoy.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Team,

A quick update on the meeting next Friday:

Rich Hermann from Thomson Reuters won't be able to join us due to a scheduling conflict, but I've already lined up replacement speakers.

Ryan Eckardt and Yonit Goldberg from Microsoft will spend some time with us covering the Power BI insights available for Dynamics CRM, as well as the Marketing functionality built into CRM.

Afterwards, Yonit will help us understand what was involved in passing the four new CRM 2016 certifications.

We will also still have the usual fun: introductions, Q&A, yummy food.  I've invited a few new users from the MTC events so I hope to see a good sized crowd.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
