One of the questions I get quite often is now that I know that security created/modified from the AOT is stored differently than security created/modified from the user interface , what is the best way to move security between environments effectively and ensure the validity of the tested security in each environment? Treating Security as Code What I mean by this is that your security should go through all of the same testing, deployment, and version control processes you have for code… because it is code. Just like you wouldn’t let a developer make code changes directly in production, you should not allow your security to be modified directly in production ...

Implementing a public sector ERP is not without risk, varying from choosing an ill-fitting system to deploying solutions that employees don't end up using. The road to choosing an ERP is full of considerations. One of those considerations is choosing an ERP that is geared towards use in the public sector and one that fits the uniqueness of your specific needs. When vetting a new Public Sector ERP here are four things to look for: Digital system that employees will actually use Having a manual system can be a paper-based nightmare. Deploying an expensive system that no one will use is worse. How do you make sure that your employees will use a government ...

Gone are the days of the pen and paper exam that I took. The Prometric CPA exam is the only way to take the exam today. In a way it is good. There was a huge shortage of CPAs when I was coming up in the ranks. Today there is less of a shortage thanks to the Prometric CPA exam. I don't mean to imply the exam is any easier than it was before. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. But during the pen and paper days, you had to take all four parts of the exam in one sitting. Can you imagine the psychological pressure of having to do that? Can you imagine the stress an exam taker must be under going into the exam having to be fully prepared for four comprehensive topics? ...

While ERP solutions have become an integral part of enterprise operations, planning for successful implementation of the ERP is still a mammoth task. Selection of right solution, right implementation partner, and right implementation model, therefore, have considerable impact on the project. Choosing the right solution ensures streamlined business processes, maximized business opportunities, and greater capacity to drive innovation. Similarly, choosing the right implementation partner and model ensure timely implementation and no unpleasant surprise related to timelines, budgets, and resources during the implementation cycle. In order to save the organizations ...

You cannot export the Default Solution as a Managed Solution, and you cannot deploy a complete Default Solution from Microsoft Dynamics CRM on-premises to Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online or the other way around. You can deploy a custom Solution between two Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 systems that use either platform. One of the key things in CRM is to work with Queue items. Once the case has been created in CRM, We move the case to a particular queue manually or automatically with the help of Route Queue functionality which is available OOB .  The main advantage of adding case to queue is that the concerned team would work on that case and it gets resolved by the concerned people. To Pick the queue items from the queue, Microsoft has provided OOB Pick button on the queue. This will automatically assign the case to that particular user.    The key thing which I want to share with you is once the queue item i.e. Case is picked from the queue, the ...

This post is to demonstrate that you can publish entity customization with the help of C# code. In one of the project which I was working on faced the issue of publishing entity customization from web client. I was getting generic SQL error "SQL timeout error".   It was very hard to publish the changes from web client and deliverable were also impacted. I searched over the internet and found that we can publish the changes using C# code without facing any issue. Sample code _serviceProxy.Execute(new PublishXmlRequest             {                 ParameterXml = @"                     <importexportxml> ...

There are many schools of thought when it comes to learning styles. One I have found to resonate well with adult learners and the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform are the VARK learning styles. VARK stands for the four main learning styles: Visual, Auditory, Reading & Writing and Kinesthetic. What is VARK and how can it apply to CRM training? The VARK theory says that you have a primary learning style. While you may be influenced by other learning styles, there is one primary area where learning comes easier. Understanding these four key ways adults learn can help us to plan and deliver useful, lasting CRM training to our end users. Visual ...
